In Category II treatment rooms, invasive procedures or operations with a low risk of wound infection can be performed. It is the user's responsibility to only carry out such interventions that meet these criteria. For orientation purposes, the List of the Bavarian Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians. Surgeries and procedures are divided into 3 categories here. Based on the list, operational interventions of

  • Category A (operations) in a surgical tract,
  • Category B (invasive procedures or operations with low risk of wound infection) in a treatment room
  • Category C (invasive measures or operations with an even lower risk of wound infection) in an examination and/or practice treatment room

Category B and C operations can therefore be carried out in a class II intervention room.

If multiple materials are to be sterilized, this must be done by the user independently or via an external service provider outside the Eterno location. Limited quantities of earthenware can be stored at the Eterno location.

Users are free to bring the special equipment required for the procedures themselves after consultation. Eterno assumes no liability, maintenance, etc., for devices or medical devices that you have brought in yourself.

Lockable storage space is available for storing consumables. Larger quantities can only be stored after consultation.

A disposal room is available where users deposit their waste. Waste is separated in accordance with the hygiene plan. The waste is disposed of by the cleaning company every working day.

Eterno ensures regular basic cleaning by a certified specialist cleaning company once a day, which meets the applicable hygienic requirements for a treatment room and covers the associated costs. Between procedures, the user is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting. For this purpose, the user is granted access to the cleaning room.

When renting an operating room, there are shared hygiene responsibilities between Eterno and the user.

Eterno takes over the general hygiene organization in Eterno Space and has drawn up a “general hygiene plan” for this purpose. In this context, Eterno ensures that the treatment room is thoroughly cleaned on a daily basis, which meets the applicable hygienic requirements. Eterno bears the costs. In addition to the general hygiene plan, Eterno has set up a separate hygiene plan for the treatment room infrastructure.

During use and when carrying out procedures in the treatment room, the user is responsible for ensuring the hygienic standards required for the procedure. This means that the user must clean and disinfect the room, the instruments, etc. on their own responsibility or must have this done by personnel subject to instructions. When renting an operating room, the user is explicitly responsible for pre-, intra- and post-operative hygiene. Eterno does not monitor the user and personnel subject to instructions.

When renting an OP, the user acknowledges these responsibilities and undertakes to act accordingly.

Yes, the procedure room is certified for PKV and GKV patients. In order to bill benefits for GKV patients, an application must be submitted in advance to the responsible Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians.
